In vivo screening for toxicity-modulating drug interactions identifies antagonism that protects against ototoxicity in zebrafish—By Ethan Bustad, Emma Mudrock, Elizabeth Nilles, Andrea McQuate, Monica Bergado, Alden Gu, Louie Galitan, Natalie Gleason, Henry Ou, David Raible, Rafael Hernandez, Shuyi Ma
Research paper I helped on during my time at Seattle Children’s Research Institute. This article discusses the development of a high-throughput workflow to visualize and quantify ototoxicity and otoprotection in a zebrafish model. This workflow was then used to analyze otoprotective drug-drug interactions between macrolides and aminoglycosides in vivo.
